Five times the smiles

Five times the smiles

It was a great week. The kids have been out of school and Ron was home. It was fun to have all of us here. We hung out and played the wii for New Years and then on Thursday Holly called and we made plans to go to Thermopolis Wy and have a soak in the warm water. On the way we encountered a snag when Holly's car broke down. It was a fluke malfunction. We were in the tunnels going through Wind River Canyon when her steering went out and then the car just shut off. Ron and I were ahead of her and I saw here just before we went though the tunnels. I kept looking for her and lost track of her. I told Ron to stop and wait. While we were waiting I just had this feeling that something was wrong really wrong and I was hoping it was just a flat tire (which seems to be Holly's thorn in her side) and not more but, as we looked for her along the road we realized that she was in real trouble. When we found her finally it was apparent that her car would have to be towed to a shop. So instead of continuing on to Thermopolis we decided to take it back to Casper. So Ron volunteered to ride in car as I pulled it back to Casper.
I was an adventure that had to be broken into two days but in the end we got the car home safe and we made it home safe.

Ron leaved to go back to work and the kids and I will just have one more week till school starts then we will be back to normal. I am looking forward to this new year. It seems that everyone makes a list of things that want to accomplish in the year to come. I just feel that resolving to do something seems like giving in maybe going against what you are. So I chose to set goals. I really want to keep my desk clean. I want to get back to exercising not to lose weight but just to feel like I did something each day. I really want to get an education. I may not get it all done but I would like to start and the best way to finish is to start. I guess if I can just grasp hold of a little bit of these goals I will be making a difference in my life.

If this is your first glimpse of my blog I hope you return and stay in contact and for Liz it is snowing well it did. I love the snow but I wouldn't mind a little bit of 65 either. Hayley loves the snow can't keep her out of it must be the snow from the 1 month of birth. Her heart is tied to the snow like ingrained. She can't wait to get to Jackson Hole for skiing and to see our friends there. If Mike or Jen read this she hasn't stopped taking about Pearl she wants to see her so bad.

Well I need to get the kids in bed. Love to all and happy New Year. Wish you were here.

Love Jeannette
